A wish list of things i'm lusting after...it's never ending really.  This one is inspired by Alexander Wang and the Olsen's effortless style.

Transitions

This outfit was transitional.  It was hot during the day, but it got colder at night, which meant buying this cape cardigan.  It's so pretty...so I forgive myself for the splurge.

Burberry Beauty

/ Friday, 10 May 2013 /

Anyone that knows me well, understands that my makeup is very minimal, natural and effortless.  You can imagine the cheshire grin on my face when Burberry brought out their makeup line.  I still tingle whenever I walk by the David Jones Burberry counter at Pitt St.  The whole range is very neutral and minimal.  Sheer and effortless is their mantra, and they've nailed it.  From their foundation, to eyeshadow, everything is neutral perfection.  Their lipsticks are creamy with some pops of colour here and there.  If I would cake my face in anything it would be Burberry, fortunately I got the opportunity to do my make-up with their regional make-up artist.

It was a great experience, and I learnt some awesome tips and tricks to get that glowing effortless complexion that all Burberry models seem to have.  Cara Delevingne i'm pointing at you!  One of the stand out products that was used was definitely their Fresh Glow, an all in one product that Roxy (the wonderful makeup artist) mixed with just about everything.  If the makeup hadn't already won me over, the fresh glow had pretty much got me hook, line and sinker.

The girls at Burberry, Tina & Roxy were amazing.  I can't say i've ever had as amazing experience as this before.  Safe so say, I went home with a special present for mum and a sneaky one for myself.  No more shopping for a while.  Actually, who am I kidding, expect a haul coming up ladies, i've gone crazy!

Warm & Fuzzy

/ Thursday, 9 May 2013 /
Hello ladies, it's been a while.  I'm not even going to bother with an excuse, because quite honestly I haven't got one.  All i'm going to say is that yes, I succumbed to the lazy uni student in me.  I dried myself all out of inspiration and took a brief hibernation.  This brief hibernation in the blogsphere probably seems like a decade or something.  But i'm back! Be proud people!

Today's post is something that i've been noticing as the weather gets chillier.  You could say my inspiration warmed up with people bringing out their winter drab.  I'm a sucker for all things warm and fuzzy, hence winter clothes are my absolute favourite.  Strangely enough though my wardrobe just never seems to have enough.  I'm envisioning some serious hauls in the future.  Out on the streets though, winter wear is in full swing.  People in warm fuzzy knits everywhere, all styled to perfection.  I'm lacking in a variety of knits and looking at girls strutting their stuff in knits has got my styling bug on the ready.  I'm totally style crushing on how ladies are styling their knits.  I want in!

Hence, a little inspiration board on looks that i'm coveting  and will in the future assimilate into my wardrobe.  Not to mention some ideas for all you style savvy readers...if you haven't already given up on this little ole blog.

OCD

/ Sunday, 7 April 2013 /

I think every girl out there is a little bit OCD when it comes to cleanliness. I'm no exception, I like my things to be kept nice and new for as long as possible, but once they're all worn out don't expect me to make extra effort on them. Yes i'm guilty of being lazy with my oldies. Unfortunately being lazy on things like make-up brushes is a huge no no. So I took some time and invested in a shortcut product which keeps my brushes clean between the big wash days. It's not expensive or extra snazzy, but it gets the job done. It's Artiste's Brush cleaner, you just spray this bad boy on some tissue and wipe you brush on it till you can see the original colour of the brush return. Minimal cost and all the perks of an expensive brand.  Pat on the back to my shopping prowess.
